Background
| Norma Jones was born in Illinois and spent her youth on a large farm
with a lake, woods, and show horses. She has lived and traveled in
many states and countries, including Hawaii, Germany and the Greek Isles.
She has sketched and painted throughout Europe and the Far East.
Her paintings have been described as analogous to poetry and music rather
than a portrayal of the objective. Her paintings have been exhibited nationally
in prestigious shows such as: The American Watercolor Society Traveling
Exhibition, Watercolor U.S.A., The Albuquerque Museum of Fine Art, The
Denver Art Museum, Dimension Houston, North Coast Collage Society Shows,
Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Shows, Laguna Gloria Art Museum
in Austin, Texas, Rocky Mountain National, Texas Fine Arts Association,
Thompson Gallery at the University of New Mexico, MAGNIFICO in Albuquerque,
and exhibitions with the Layerists in Multimedia.
She is listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Art, Who'sWho in the West and others. |
