For twenty years I have been going on pilgrimages to southern
Utah to do hiking, camping and photography. I go to experience
geologic time, and sometimes find magic in the lighting and rock
formations.
I
started painting several years ago. I am well aware that art can
and should be many different things to different people, but for
me the purpose of my painting is to extend and deepen my connection
to the land and sky. I find natural reality to be a necessary
antidote for social reality.
